Even though the critics and fans were a little confused with the direction Kanye took after “Graduation”, “808s & Heartbreak” was the side of Kanye that no one saw. He was vulnerable, emotional, optimistic, hopeful, and depressed. Also, most importantly, he asked questions to which he knew he either wouldn’t receive abswers for, or the answers would be very difficult to receive. Never again will he incorporate all of those characteristics in an album again now that he’s so full of himself.

808’s & Heartbreak was a really good album! Dark Fantasy had some some upsides.

I agree! “See You in My Nightmares” and “Pinocchio Story” we’re the absolute truth. That man poured out his heart and soul on that album. And let’s not even get into how innovative and iconic that “Glow in the Dark Tour” was, including a non-festival, headlining show performed at a STADIUM in CHINA as a BLACK artist that’s not FAIR-SKINNED.

I noticed this as well. He started this ‘cocky’ persona after his mom passed away. I think he confessed about it during a radio interview on B** earlier this year.

I’m not gonna lie though! Some of that musical genius’ harmonies on his iconic, innovative, and critically-acclaimed fourth album, “808s & Heartbreak”, we’re executed very well. Even though he was drowned in airplane for pretty much the entire album, “Say You Will” proves that he can sing. I don’t care what anyone says.

    Who still watches this?
