Bruno Mars may be on the brink of releasing his third studio album, but beforehand he’s making surprising changes behind the scenes.

According to Billboard, the stage blazer has parted ways with Brandon Creed – his manager for the last 9 years.
Sources close to the publication tout the reason for the split as Mars’ desire to start his own company, which would see him at the helm of his operation with in-house management brought in.
Said setup is becoming more viable and visible in the music landscape, with other high-profile acts such Beyonce taking a similar route (see: Parkwood).
Still, the move adds a new layer of expectation to Mars’ upcoming third album cycle.
During his time with Creed (whose Creed Co imprint also manages longtime collaborator Mark Ronson), the singer won four Grammy Awards and sold over 5 million LPs in the US alone.
Needless to say, it’ll be intriguing to see how the change plays out on the front-end of Bruno’s career. Will his star burn even brighter than before?
