Idris Elba is to return to his musical roots with the release of a brand new House album.
Its name?
‘Hiatus.’
A DJ before he was an actor, Elba has revealed that he is to make a fresh foray into the field of music with the House album ‘Hiatus.’
I have an album called Hiatus, which is aptly named because I want to take one. I’m probably going to put it out in the next year. It’s an album of my beats, house music. I’ve been working for so many years as an actor and I want to do something different for a little bit. I’m never going to leave acting or filmmaking, but I’ll take a break from it for a minute.
A due date for the project is yet to be announced but will undoubtedly be supported by the unveiling of his new movie ‘100 Streets’ which impacted theatres on January 13th 2017.
