Did You Miss It? J. Cole Drops Second HBO Documentary Trailer

Published: Sunday 26th Mar 2017 by Nehemiah

While Kendrick Lamar takes his shots, J. Cole takes his rhymes to the television.

Following the release of his successful concert film and tour documentary ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive‘ a year ago, the North Carolina MC re-teams with HBO once more for his follow-up project ‘4 Your Eyez Only.’

Dive below for details…

Synonymous to his December release, the hour long documentary will give fans the chance to see the conscious rapper perform songs from the 10-track LP. It’ll also shine light on stories of lower-income residents in Atlanta, GA; Baton Rouge, LA; Ferguson, MO; Jonesboro, AR; and his hometown Fayetteville, North Carolina, as they dissect politics and the economic burden their neighborhoods face.

In the teaser, ‘Change‘ provides the perfect backdrop as residents are seen speaking of their gloomy circumstances.

Check it out…

Given the circumstances of today’s socioeconomic climate, we’re both applauding and anticipating Cole’s latest endeavor.

Catch the premiere on April 15 at 10 p.m. EST on HBO.

I didn’t know Beyoncé was the very first artist to ever do a HBO documentary and impacted the music and te television India industr

That’s probably not what they was trying to say. Beyoncé might not be first to make a album film but she definitely brought it made it popular again. & nobody was releasing album films & a album at the same time so stop.

Kebdrick is bitter because his career is not on Drake’s and Cole’s level. Plus that Dr. Dre camp built careers on dissing people, but it’s not working for Ken bc it’s played the F out.

Cole is not even on Drakes level. Drake is a pop rapper, he hasn’t been hip hop since his first album. J. Cole and Kendrick are actually very cool unless I missed something and are very very popular within real r&b and hip hop lovers and are much more respected than Drake at this point. There shouldn’t even be a comparison because drake doesn’t hold up with the white audience, it’s not even a race thing just facts. Nor does he hold up lyrically or authenticity.
