Published: Thursday 3rd Aug 2017 by David

In 2014 ABC struck ratings gold when it welcomed the show ‘Black-ish’ to its roster.

ABC announced it was to build the show’s first spin-off named ‘College-ish’ on May 19th.

Chances are the execs at ABC had already pitched the title and decided to make a change. It’s not a difficult word or phrase to conceptualize. I think “College-ish” sounds bad, but it’s more focused than “Grown-ish” which could mean anything.

Umm its not like the idea is all that ground breaking. And TV shows change ideas, casts, story lines, scripts, etc all the time before we ever see the pilot. We even see cast members change after the pilot airs and have new roles in peoples place. TV show hope and faith had 1 kid play the son for the pilot and a new kid for the rest of the series.
