With the season premiere of Making The Band 4 (season 3) kicking off tonight, the timing of this latest ‘drama’ among the ladies of Danity Kane is real apt.Member Dawn Richard was interviewed on the John Jay & Rich Show recently. Dawn offered a pretty interesting response when questioned about O’Day being the group’s standout attraction.

I felt she was trying to avoid and defuse what they were saying instead of build it up.
it sounds like she is upset that they not talking about her and her tattoo and her talents (she talking like she thinks she can sing better, whether true or false, its shallow)….a lil jealousy
but she is taking jabs, like her maybe a boob will pop out and stuff, its petty but its jabs.

Though I don’t think Dawn’s intentions were to sound like a b****..she ended up sounding like one. A little bitter..and not just at the situation.
I’ve always noticed that DK don’t seem to be “friends friends”. Some are close (Aubrey and D. Woods), yet the others seem to treat it like a “job” (working with people you don’t like for a pay check).
She may not have meant to blow the lid open, but she has with this interview I say.

Aubrey is always trying to steal the limelight. And she’s not even all that cute. I do think some of them are jealous of Aubrey tho..

Dawn just stated the facts which is people enjoy going onto perez hilton and they look for that type of media.???!!!?? am i missing something¿¿. i didnt sense any jealously in fact, if anything that radio host was trying to instigate with the "sol de la sol" bull caca and dawns "picture" of the sunset.

I think Dawn is a lil jealouse. If she wants better promotion, take that up with the bad boy promotion and marketing department or just go sraight to the source (DIDDY). Or get your her own PR. Dogging your band member directly or indirectly or both or wtf-ever isn’t the way to do it.
But Aubrey is an attention w****. Why the hell is a p*** star and a s** tape b**** her best friends. I mean does she even hang out with them like that. And she always says it in every interview, like she grew up with them. She is so talented,(all of DK is talented) why would she want or feels the need to connect her self with people who have no talent at all and did nasty s*** to get where they are. To me its pathetic and I think, well thought Aubrey was better than that. ATTENTION-H**!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know what you or anybody else expects dawn to sound like, but she sounds normal to me. She’s keeping it real media does perfer drama over talent and since Aubrey is the most train wreakish of the group they focus on her to get a story. Its true. And this wasnt the full interview, and this was sooo last week!
I did not get any impression that she was jealous. She sounded honest. Like for real the media are only interested in a story more than if you have talent. What Dawn said was not directed towards Aubrey as beef but as an honest opinion of what the media likes, controversy. Like it or not…hanging with Kim Kardasian is gonna attract bad press for Aubrey. In my honest opinion Dawn is the best performer in DK. Bad press is certainly nothing to be jealous about. Having the media disect and watch your every move is not fun, especially if your loved ones read about it.

There’s not even a story here! Dawn merely stated the facts – the media love to chase Aubrey. I don’t think anyone could deny that.
I didn’t hear the whole thing, but Dawn did sound a bit bitter. It could also be taken as her being exasperated by how the media works, and how the bad press following Aubs affects the group.
I have seen Dawn and Aubs together…they seem like decent friends to me..But I do have to say that I suspect trouble in DK land right now….just my gut feeling…
i heard that interview already and dawn was just stating the obvious…..and really i would be pissed off at the fact that their bringing up aubrey at my interview so if she really wanted to talk s*** i wouldnt be mad at her,but she didnt say too much of anything out of the way

Gosh, that was nothing. If anything, Dawn was just trying to justify why people/the media are drawn to Aubrey more… because she IS slightly controversial. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Aubrey knows she’s being true to herself, nothing else really matters right?
My main point is people wanna insinuate drama and controversy with ANYTHING that comes from a reality TV show, because people expect them to fail. Now that Danity Kane are becoming more and more successful and will ultimately hit world-domination-like proportions, the media will most definitely want to find something worth publishing in a negative way, because they wanna see them fall on their asses. It’s quite astounding really, and kinda sad too…
It sounds like she is jealous and it show the UGLY SIDE OF HER…She should not put down another member in her GROUP.
