Janet Jackson has long established herself as one of music’s most enduring legends – thanks to her catalogue of classics and dominance of the dancefloor.
On said journey, she’s been joined by a host of dancers who she affectionately calls The Kids.
Comprised of talents such as Tina Landan, Travis Payne, Jenna Dewan, and Gil Duldalao, many of the group have gone on to become notable names in the own right.
Celebrating their legacy, Jackson invited the collective on-stage to perform with her at the Los Angeles stop of the State Of The World Tour last night at the Hollywood Bowl.
Fittingly, they delivered a dynamite showing of ‘Rhythm Nation.’

The Legendary Empress Janet!
Everybody in LA came to see Janet last night! From Christina Aguilera, to Babyface, to Mark Ronaon!
Janet is Auh-Mazing!
I agree. Janet is amazing.
Paula Abdul should have been there too. That would even be MORE epic!!! It was her choreography that put Janet on the map as an entertainer in music.
Paula Abdul was never apart of The Kids. And Janet was dancing long before there was a Paul. Paul got a check for her job and got a short lived career from it.
She’s so f***** ing legendary. Nobody can do it like Janet, PERIOD!
Testify!!!!
Was hoping to see Paula and JLo
Wow!!! All of her former dancers came back!!! Epic!!!! Slay momma J.!!!
Yea I’m not a fan of her whispering..??♂️
Girl YES YOU ARE. you comment more than her die hard fans- u a fan sis ??♂️??♂️??♂️
@ Cough Cough: AMEN to this! It’s okay @DanYiel, only 10 hail marys and a full-stop IF breakdown followed by the Scream dance break and the JTribe will welcome you :-). Or we can send you to Iyanla for “fixin”…lmao
Sweetheart, it’s okay to confess! You’re just as big of a fan of our empress as I am! I never beat you to a Janet post!
Thank you Janet, Ms. Jackson for your pioneering spirit bringing people together as a legendary. We have a long way to come but we will get to the mountains. We are the most gifted, enduring, compassionate most spirited gift of the universe. 100^% human we speak, we spoke, have spoken and will continue to be in fight or flight mode to accomplish what mankind has taken from us for 400 years with act of kindness deviating from the word hate to a world of Peace afro and LOVE> Thank you for the inspiration for MANY………..
This was great to see! So many memories, so many faces. I understand Shawnette’s production company duties kept her from being there. And also, this was TOUR dancers…not everyone who has danced with Janet via videos, tv performances, etc (so no JLO, Paula, Josie, Jonte, Danielle Polanco). The only thing my selfish fan behind could ask for is if the former dancers had joined the new ones on parts of the show, i.e., all the girls for Nasty, all the boys for If, teams of dancers for the other segments, group solos on Throb. And a RIP salute to Rudy and Michael Andrews. But, lol, a fan can dream!!!
Rudy is now a woman. He’s a Trans-female now named Lana Houston, not dead LMAO
She promised something special for fans who held on to tickets before her second postponement, so I would’ve liked to see some kind of reunion like this on each stop, or a special dance number each night created by one of her older dancers/choreographers like Tina, Shawnette or Eddie.
This was the night to not miss! I wish I had a ticket! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Janet when I did, but I waited so long to see her dance next to Tina again! I know it happened during the Janet tribute, but I wanted to see them come together for something Janet related! This was amazing to witness!
