Beyonce Submits ‘Daddy Lessons’ For Grammy Consideration

The eligibility period?

October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017, meaning the star’s song ‘Daddy Lessons’ is eligible as its Dixie Chicks-backed reboot was released in November 2016…eight months after the original’s release.

Do you think she’ll win big on the night?

NO! give it a rest. she craaaaaaves so much validation. they gave you the cold shoulder last year and you’re still begging this white folks for acknowledgement sis? where is your dignity and self respect? CUT IT OUT!

    • Jay October 23, 2017

Exactly let it just ride out drop some heat and win then

      • TruthHurts October 23, 2017

I totally agree. Move on to the next chapter already…d@mn!

  2. Realtalk October 23, 2017

You know last year the Grammy Acccademy did her so wrong by not receiving AOTY even Adeal had to say so, if I were Beyonce I wouldn’t even bother to submit any thing. I wouldn’t dare to give them a reason to have high ratings on watching the show.

  3. Jay October 23, 2017

Come on bey give it a break you went 100% black at the Super Bowl and them whites want no parts of you.

But bey hasn’t been pushing music since lemonade so to be fair she shouldn’t submit anything there were a lot of hard working artist out there who should be put up and not lose just because our fave put in.

  4. Arei October 23, 2017

If anybody deserves one Tamar does, her album was so slept on.

    • Julian October 23, 2017

I hope she’ll get a R&B Album nomination next year!

  5. Meme October 23, 2017

Yass to Jhene Aiko submitting her music that nobody ever heard for all the major categories. Lol 95% of the artist who submitted for record of the year are reaching, including Beyonce. Girl that tired album is finished. Just stop.

Kendrick better win big. And by big I’m talking Album of the year. We need this for culture. He had the BEST album this year, both commercially and critically. Ed is the only other artist that came close and his music was BASIC.

  6. Tim Brown October 23, 2017

I need to see Logic ,Alessia and Khalid nominated!

    • Jay October 23, 2017

I don’t see how logic didn’t make it. Him and Kendrick dropped two of the best albums this year. They tripping they gonna hand them to jay I bet

  7. Fancy BISH October 23, 2017

Lil Yachty submitted a song for Record Of The Year consideration lol…the delusion is beyond real

    • Meme October 23, 2017

I spit my coffee out at this comment lolol. The reach is on giraffe.

      • Fancy BISH October 23, 2017

        ?

      • Jasmine October 23, 2017

        Lol I agree Meme

  8. Karamel October 23, 2017

Daddy Lessons is an AMAZING track, both versions. A nomination would be well deserved.

  9. S****** Blonde October 23, 2017

She’s delusional and pretentious, she might think that her 40 Grammys aren’t enough.

    • Francis October 23, 2017

What’s your problem with Beyoncé man? You’re such a hater, damn.

  10. Lana’s New music Sucks October 23, 2017

If Beyoncé was really the queen, she would boycott the Grammys. Never perform again never even show up for a few years (if not indefinitely) I bet those rating will plummet

  11. G7Pat October 23, 2017

I think the Grammy are over her for a while. We want new talent

    • Anne October 23, 2017

Over her? Says who? She just received several nominations (including one in all of the major categories) and won two Grammys for her latest album in the genre fields. While she hasn’t won AOTY, she has won at least one Grammy with multiple nominations for EVERY ALBUM SHE HAS RELEASED. All this is a lot more than most artists can say.

  12. ThatGuy October 23, 2017

If it’s eligible why not submit it?

  13. Jasmine October 23, 2017

Beyonce and her fans think she is entitled to every award every year. There is no logic behind that and now I see other artist are cooying her lead. I don’t see anything wrong with this other than greed and self-centeredness on the artists’ part. With an industry void of talent diversity and low sales this is bound to happen. People just dont get excited about music anymore and the new music is mostly so forgettable.

  14. JOHNVIDAL October 23, 2017

Why is the article about Beyonce with all those other names in a list of this type? It´s just funny 🙂
Anyway, I hope Million Reasons makes it to Record of the Year or Song of the Year category. From the songs one can see on that long list, I´m not afraid to say it deserves it. Most are just so bad.
What the hell was Beyonce wearing that night btw? 🙂

  15. Jason October 23, 2017

I don’t even know why she’s fooling with them after this years mess!

  16. Tori October 23, 2017

Girl…STOP! And then look at the categories you submitted for! AND you submitted “Die With You” after damn near 3 years! THE TWINS NEED TO BE CHANGED AND THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE DOING!

    • Sadé October 24, 2017

      ??????

  17. RealNegro October 23, 2017

Yall act like Beyonce herself submitted the songs. Either her label or managment sent it.

    • Jasmine October 23, 2017

She submitted the songs herself. Beyonce manages herself through Parkwood. There is no “manager” or “label” calling shots on her career.

  18. DanYiel Iman October 24, 2017

Why not? It’s a hot track & I love it!!

  19. Lea Song October 24, 2017

    ?

  20. AnonymousTruth October 24, 2017

Now I love me some Beysus .. but these are reaching . These songs didn’t have much impact at all to even be considered as record or song of the year …. hmmm. Gotta try though I guess , but I doubt any success will come of that .

  21. Buzz Off! October 24, 2017
