The curtain has fallen on Strictly Come Dancing 2017!
And while it didn’t result in a win for front-runner Alexandra Burke, the singer made sure to show up and show out.
Together with partner Gorka Marquez, the 29-year-old put an exclamation mark on why she was deemed the true winner by many watching.
See Alex in action, one more time, below…
Speaking about her time on the show, Burke said:
“I really don’t want to cry. It’s been a tough journey and for it to be the last one with you [partner Gorka Marquez], I’m gutted about that.’
It has brought so much joy to my life. I am so so happy, let’s just enjoy the rest of the night.
I really believe my family would be proud, I think my mum would be the proudest mother. To know I continued with her dream and was part of something so great, and something so magical…”
The series was won by actor Joe McFadden.

Alexandra ought to be proud on so many fronts. From slaying week in and week out, to making the final, to overcoming some of the worst odds possible. She’s a winner in our eyes.
We look forward to what she has in store next.
