The wins continue to accrue for Bruno Mars.
Indeed, the crooner is still riding the wave of success from last year’s ’24k Magic’ album – and in a major way.
Full story below…
Renown aggregate Pollstar have released their year-end totals and its revealed Mars’ ’24k Magic Tour’ to be the highest grossing solo trek of any act.
Having commanded a colossal $200.1 million (and counting) at the box office, the 32-year-old is only bested by U2, Guns N’ Roses, and Coldplay on the count. Here’s how his numbers stack up:
#4 Bruno Mars
GROSS: $200.1 Million from 121 shows (92 sold-out)
Average ticket price: $98.57
Average tickets per venue: 22,066
Total tickets: 2,030,029
Average gross per show $2,175,000
And the slay doesn’t stop there, because Mars will continue playing shows internationally right through to Summer 2018 when he’ll round off with a stadium run in Europe.
*********
The sheer scale of the tour highlights why Bruno is yielding the results he’s yielding.
In an era where artists are pouring out music like water from of a tap, there’s something refreshingly nostalgic about Bruno’s longitudinal approach.
He dropped a 9-track album, released multiple videos, rocked the TV and touring circuit, and will continue with more shows. All over two calendar years.
Times have changed and said approach won’t work for everyone, but he proves that serving up quality material, believing in it, and pushing it aggressively still…works.
WHEN WILL CHRIS BROWN?!
Who?
Congrats he really deserves every ounce of success!!

He did his thing, wanted more cuts on the CD but he kept it short and sweet. CHUNKY still is the best song on the CD. ………………. Still don’t know what happen when he was arrested for doing cocaine in the “male” bathroom stall ….. FUNNY HOW MONEY MAKES CRIMINAL CHARGES ……VAMOOSH
I attended a show this year in London, it was perfect and wonderful. I will see another one.
I am an 80 year old great- grandmother, who grew up dancing to and loving Elvis as a t***-ager, have loved music and dancing and later in life singing, (played the piano for many years), loved the music of James Brown, Michael Jackson, and some of Prince’s music, along with the music of those genres and therefore, I think Bruno is without a doubt the musical genius of this era. He has been able to bring all of the genres together with bits and pieces of all of the greats along with it! I have not, in my 80 years, known such a multi-talented artist and he deserves everyone of however many awards he receives and more!! You go Bruno–you’ve just brushed the surface!!! I’m enjoying seeing you grow!! And, I’m looking forward to seeing your next direction!! I’m one of your most devoted Hooligans!!
You sound like an 80 year old lie
Yes yes Bruno deserves it all..works hard plays hard and so many of ages relate to his music he sings of beautiful love and loss a d gets down with funk..keep going…yay!@@
This is awesome. Very well deserved.
Well deserved!! He had a tough life growing up and now look at him. Perseverance does pay off. He’s super multi talented. Can’t wait to see his tour in the summer, go Bruno!!
