Prince‘s heirs have slammed the streaming service TIDAL and asked it to slice the agreement they came to to share the late star’s music with the masses in half!
A surprising development below…
The company has exclusive streaming rights for the entertainer’s music but has been slammed by his family in legal documents drawn up to free them from the contract.
TMZ reports….
The attorney for Sharon, Norrine and John Nelson blew the whistle on Tidal with the probate judge in Prince’s case. In a letter, obtained by TMZ, they say Tidal’s been accused of “inflating the streaming numbers” for Beyonce‘s “Lemonade” and Kanye West‘s “The Life of Pablo,” a claim that has reportedly been denied by Tidal CEO Richard Sanders.
TIDAL has denied these fantastical allegations but now finds itself blasted by the Prince clan who feel staying with them will see them tarred with the same brush.
Your thoughts?
Always a nobody sticking their nose in other people’s business. If you are not an artist or producer mind your business.
Wait so you trying to say if my brother/sister/child who is an artist dies, I can’t have no Say in how their legacy is handled? O ok.
lmao did you tell that to camel & his pet roach before they stuck their thieving noses in Prince’s business?? lmafooooo
Well the family needs to get a good attorney because their argument is weak! They should be showing how Prince’s music sales have suffered because of being limited to Tidal as unfair business practices. Furthermore they need to show evidence of Tidal breaching their contract, etc.
As a resident of Minneapolis, Prince’s family is extremely unstable and financially irresponsible. Sadly, this is a tactic to gain in the short term ( another streaming service offering more upfront money, with little on the back end) while neglecting his long term legacy.
What you say about the family might be true but it’s no secret that tidal is doing the same. Only putting their best interest first, even at that means at the expense of a dead legend. I wouldn’t trust tidal with recordings of my pet cat.
lol ?
You’re a Ri-Whine-A fan so nothing you say MATTER!!✌??
“And that’s probably the last bit of noise you’ll hear from Tidal. There was a time when a new album by Jay-Z or Beyoncé (let alone both) would cause the music service’s sign-up to swell, but after reports of missed payments, high debt, and canceled contracts, Tidal is so underwater, even an album from two of the biggest artists in rap and R&B can’t save it.” macworld.com
That’s funny that you know information that’s FALSE!!✌??
lmao tidal aint sh*t and everyone knows it except the delusional roach nest lmfaoooo
The family needs to get on this, they would best know how to resolve these matters with his estate and library of music for the fans. I just hope it doesn’t turn out like it did with Aaliyah’s musical catalog taken off iTunes because of her uncle Harry Bankerson’s mismanagement, including with JoJo and Toni Braxton’s “Libra” record.
I thought there wasn’t an agreement between Tidal and Prince! Well what do you know. I for one remember Price did not even fool with these folks! Y’all should leave Tidal alone, just STOP. You don’t like it because Jay-Z is the owner. That’s it!!!! Bet y’all wish y’all could afford to own a streaming service. Keep giving money to Apple you fools.
Tidal tried to promote “The Truth,” as his last unreleased album, but as any real fan of Prince would know, Prince released this as a bonus disc off his “Crystal Ball” album in 1998. But yes, Tidal did try and promote new material for Prince, you’re right about that.
