Ariana Grande may be experiencing the delicious taste of success with new album ‘Sweetener,’ but she’s still mapping out major promotional spots into the Fall.
For, it’s been announced that the vocal wonder is the latest act to nab a primetime BBC special.
Details below…
Set to tape next Friday (7th September) in front of a studio audience, the hour-long special will see the star talk to Davina McCall about her music, life and career to date.
It’s also expected that she’ll open up about rebuilding after the tragic bombing at the Manchester stop of her Dangerous Woman Tour last year. In the weeks following, she – along with other notable names – staged the ‘One Love’ concert special — which also aired on the BBC.
By reuniting with the network for ‘Ariana At The BBC,’ the songbird follows in the footsteps of Adele, Sam Smith, and U2 – who’ve all formed the focus of specials for the iconic British station.
Jan Younghusband, BBC Music Head of TV Commissioning, said in a statement:
“We are so delighted to have Ariana back on the BBC, she is an outstanding new talent so loved by audiences in the UK.”
As at writing, Grande – who is set to perform at Aretha Franklin’s funeral today – sits at #1 on the Official UK Album chart with ‘Sweetener.’
