Just with a preview alone the explosive CBS interview with R. Kelly sent the net into a frenzy.
Airing in full moments ago, the emotionally-charged sit down saw resident anchor Gayle King grill the R&B superstar on harrowing sexual abuse accounts from numerous victims that led his indictment on 10 counts of sexual assault (click here to read more).
“I’m very tired of all of the um, lies, I’ve been hearing things and seeing things on the blogs, and I’m just tired,” he told King on “CBS This Morning” during the interview that aired Wednesday (March 6). “Everybody says something bad about me. Nobody said something good. They was describing Lucifer. I’m not Lucifer. I’m a man. I made mistakes, but I’m not a devil.”
Later reducing to tears, the singer-songwriter adamantly proclaimed his innocence throughout the clip. See part 1 (which aired March 6) of the 3-part interview inside:
The “case he beat,” as referred to in the video, was that of child pornography charges in 2008 that centered on a graphic video that prosecutors said showed him having sex with a girl as young as 13.
Update: R. Kelly weighs in on John Legend and Lady Gaga‘s disavowal.
“Something like this can happen to any artist. Anybody famous. Anybody famous can get accused of so many different things.” — @RKelly tells @GayleKing in an exclusive interview airing Wednesday on @CBSThisMorning. https://t.co/Ne5j52qxqh pic.twitter.com/hkp5t0Fndq

I felt GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY!! ??♂️ Reminds me of back in the day when I didn’t do my homework & had to lie & I screamed about doing the homework knowing darn well I didn’t do it!!??♂️
He’s disgusting.
I can’t stop laughing at “have u ever had x with a woman under the age of 17″… Lmao only R Kelly would ever be asked that question. And why is a feminist interviewing him and not another man? The only thing r Kelly did wrong was r*** aliyah when she was 15 but aliyah was wrong too for tricking him into believing age ain’t nothing but a number. ?
U know pusssssy is every man’s weakness, so can’t blame the King.
Will they air the whole interview ?
shut up r kelly you did that s***!!!
I can see that he is an emotional person that he calls a big heart. He obviously has a low EQ as most abuse survivors do (revert to having the emotions of a child). He believes he has done a lot more rights than wrongs and has overcome his own bad childhood and made something of his self. This is how he has managed to justify the relationships and the overpowered females will be saying they love him and giving him reassurance. To him, those were real relationships. And he can’t see how inappropriate or doesn’t want to see how inappropriate they were. He’s also claiming that the parents are expecting freebies and handouts. Soliciting their young adults to him. He’s saying they are adults so tough luck this is how the industry is but at least I had ongoing relationships with them.
In regards to younger relationships, I think he’s saying, after all, he’s been through (previous allegation and acquittal) he’s saying he has not made that mistake again. He never admits it but he points to the fact that he’s already overcome a lot of obstacles and difficulties and rumours. Which he sees very differently.
He wants to see his children and he also wants their parents to take responsibility or be held accountable. He insinuates that there is a black market in entertainment and that the parents could have done that with the wrong celebrity and they would end up missing or worse. But he can’t come right out and say that.
Fame comes at a cost and lots of people have mental or emotional issues and people enjoy the entertainment then turn like sharks is what he’s thinking. Then the social media and the industry pressures.
I think that if he could admit he did something wrong he would but he won’t be able to see his children. He has said he did things wrong in his relationships. That’s about all he was able to say. His emotional age is about 7 years old.
All this said if there was some mild admittance of guilt, he needs therapy, not jail time. He’s not a monster he claims but clearly he’s not in control of his emotions.
So this is a disorder, a disorder which leads people he’s close to feel sorry for him plus people close to him will lie to him. Because everyone uses you when you’re rich. and you can’t get the truth out of anyone. You can’t trust anyone.
I hope he gets some psychological help. And I hope he’s able to admit and apologise to those younger girls which will make a lot of difference.
By implicating himself, he will also be implicating others within the industry.
It’s funny how in the Rkelly and MJ case… In both cases children were PIMPED out to the highest bidder by their PARENTS. Those bidders being mj and rkelly of course but sum how only R Kelly is guilty smh
