While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.
Her show was supposed to take place on July 18th but was pulled once the rapper learned of the issues her gay and female fans were facing in the land.
Her decision to cancel the event comes after she extended her lead as the highest-selling female rapper of all time with her latest single ‘Megatron.’

Supposedly: according to what is generally assumed or believed (often used to indicate that the speaker doubts the truth of the statement).
There is nothing ‘supposed’ about the current laws in place denying women or gay folks basic human rights living under Saudi’s oppressive regime.
This is one of the best things she have ever done, and her fans are loving her for it too. The gays need there freedom to live there lives the way they want and not the way people want them to. Women also need to be decision makers just like in any other country.
