Janet Jackson has chosen the second city of her 35-date ‘JANET JACKSON Number Ones ,Up Close and Personal’ tour – Singapore. The icon will now launch the venture in that territory instead of the originally scheduled February 14th Hong Kong date which will now serve as stop #2.
Fan can expect Jackson to perform her extensive catalog of #1 hits at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 7th. Tickets for the show will be available on January 7th.
Hong Kong to Singapore is only 3hr flight, lol. Not much of a difference. Perhaps she wants to take a 7 day tour of the region… Pretty interesting stuff from HK, Malaysia, Kuala Lampur, Thailand.
The earlier it starts the faster it’ll end up at a venue near me! Singapore, February 7th is music to my ears!

Sounds like the demand for her probably wasn’t that high in Hong Kong. Already her tour is off to a rocky start, I get the feeling this won’t be that successful an outing for her. She probably won’t do that well in North America either.

You cant assume that, lol. Both HK and Singapore are bilingual english speaking regions so it’s not like an area where she is unknown. My assumption is Singapore was to be a top asian city anyway and might be logistically better to start from Singapore than HK esp. if her next cities are in China such as Beijing or Tokyo, Osaka in Japan. HK is a much bigger market as well. Smarter to start in a smaller asian city than hit HK right away. More time for rehearsals, adjustments, etc. Yall know in HK everyone and their great-gramma has their cell phones and iPods on record!! If she does s***, it’s gonna hit the airwaves like wild fire.

janet jackson is an awesom artist, and she is the best of the jackson. her personality is extremly cool. and she has a fablous voice. and we love to see her perform all the time. i truly hope that she continues to rock the world with amazing music. she is the best i have seen since michael, her older brother. janet jackson you are simply the besty. happy new years to you and good luck on your new album.
