Pepa of Salt-n-Pepa believes jealousy lies at the heart of her feud with Spinderella.

Spinderella recently filed a lawsuit against the musical act because she feels she has never been fairly compensated for her contributions to its success.
She believes that her time with the band is undervalued and at risk of erasure because of moves made by Salt and Pepa.
Pepa sees it differently.
For, she believes that Spin often finds herself in the shadows because the media and general public aren’t interested in her.

I absolutely agree with Pepa. They did a lot of things that they were not contractually obligated to do in effort to make Spinderella feel like an equal member. But, it’s not their responsibility to determine the terms of Spinderella’s contract. As far as I’m concerned anyone with two hands could have stood back there and did what Spinderella was doing the majority of the time. But they agreed to put her more into the spotlight, have her name announced with the group, and let her do a couple of rap verses, which is more than some other DJs get.
But it wasn’t anyone. It was Spinderella.
I do not agree with saltnpepa.I liked the group because of spinderella.I don’t care if they did a lot for her if they stole 1 dollar from her they should be sued.

It wasn’t Spinderella when the group debut in 1986 with an album that sold over a million copies and established “Salt ‘n Pepa’s” position in Hip Hop. I’m old school so my era new the group before Spinderella. Songs like “Tramp” (and the video), “My Mic Sounds Nice” and “I’ll Take Your Man” gave Salt’n Pepa a Hip Hop identity without/before Spinderella.

BS….Pepa didnt really answer the question. She actually was all over the place with her response. When that tour was announced they was using the pic of ALL 3 of them they didnt pull that pic off until Spin said something. It has been months. Since January why they meaning Salt-n-Pepa didnt say anything first. Since it’s their brand….SHADY! Now they want to say Herby brought Spin in. True, it was his version and thought it would be dope to have a girl DJ. If Spin had a contact/deal with Herby and bot them. Why was she still with them? Because Herby was no longer their manager or producer if she had the contact with him she should have been gone when he left. They are being the mean girls and that’s some SHADY stuff. And on the business side why they havent said anything about introducing Coco Chanel as their DJ. Because she is considered as the hired DJ. When Spin got with them it all talk about her being with them and etc…Read between the lines. It’s some shady mess!!!

Yes it was! SHADY AS F***!! Now I hear that their tour manager has quit. Been wanting them to put out new music but havent done so….Maybe it’s a wrap for them because they have lost some of their fan base. And it’s so funny how when Spin join the group they talk about her being with them but cant really the address the issues at hand. And havent said anything about Coco Channel is the DJ because she the hired DJ…..So sad!! After the biopic is aired I believe I will be officially done with them. And let go done as the legends they was. Keep it as it was.
