Janet Jackson recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ where she opened up about her ‘Black Diamond’ tour and album. Both of which are due to arrive in the coming months.
Unknown to most, the Pop queen also taped a performance segment with The Roots.
Joined by Fallon, Jackson and her ensemble performed her 1995 classic ‘Runaway’ using classroom instruments.

She will probably only release a slew of flop singles, an ep that no one knows about, then get dropped and go the indie route to start releasing under the radar and low-budget faux India Arie-style singles and eps.
This was not necessary. There is no competition between those ladies. One is a LEGEND and the other is very early in her career…they both can have success.

OMG!!! Love it!!!! I was just thinking how I would love Janet to tour just once where she sits on a stool, with a microphone and a four piece band and just sing. Do a 12 song set of classics like “When I Think of You ,” ” Lonely, ” “That’s the Way Love Goes,” ” I Get Lonely, ” I Want You, ” “Enjoy,” etc. I love Janet’s voice and it would be nice to see her stripped of all the spectacle.
I, too, dream of this kind of tour. Or at least an “Unplugged” one-off that’s recorded (MTV/BET/Netflix are you listening?). But I don’t think we will EVER get it…LOL
IDC what anyone says, I love Janet’s soft, sweet vocals. No one can pull off a sensual track the way she can, and her harmonies are always ethereal. I loved this!

I was very happy to finally see & hear Janet Jackson sing live and refrain from any lipsynching. She sounds great and was having fun with the guys. I absolutely hate all the lipsynching she does at all her shows, it is terrible.
