Per a new report, the Hip-Hop superstar will top-bill Paramount’s ‘Assisted Living.’
The film is touted as a “raucous comedy” with “tremendous heart,” cut from the similar comedic cloth as classics such as ‘Sister Act,’ ‘Mrs. Doubtfire,’ and ‘Tootsie.’
As for its story?
Cardi plays Amber, a small-time crook who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find a hiding spot.
With options evaporating, she disguises herself as an elderly lady and goes undercover at the most unlikely of venues – her grandma’s senior citizens nursing home.
Since blazing the scene with chart-topper ‘Bodak Yellow,’ the femcee has shown a penchant for diversifying her output.
Indeed, she’s racked up quote the portfolio in TV and film – co-anchoring Netflix’s ‘Rhythm + Flow’ and supporting in box office smash ‘Hustlers.’ She recently also teamed with Facebook for digital series ‘Cardi Tries…’
Suffice to say, Belcalis is collecting all the bags! More power to her.
