This is based off controversy. Not actual talent or the actual song. Just people giving it attention because he’s a professional twitter troll clapping back at everyone who doesn’t like him.
Please say it LOUDER, because I keep telling them this but they won’t listen. They think controversial press is good press yet nobody is saying anything good. He couldn’t even save this mess with a live performance because he’s not even a decent performer.
He played the system though. What would have previously been a super NO NO during radio and MTV days is exactly what gets songs to #1 now
But he didn’t play the system. He fed into the system and went even further to questionable territory. Him releasing some actual good music over 3 minutes with a great video that wasn’t all for controversy and displayed some natural talent and then going #1 with critical acclaim would’ve been playing the system. He went his usal route of trolling and “being free” but ppl just aren’t here for it authentic.
