After earning three consecutive top 20 hits on the R&B charts with her first official solo singles ‘Have Mercy,’ ‘Treat Me,’ and ‘Surprise,’ GRAMMY-nominated songstress Chloe is ready for more of the same with her new release, ‘For the Night.’
Tapping rising rapstress Latto (who recently tapped Chloe’s sister Halle Bailey to appear in the ‘It’s Givin’ music video), ‘Night’ serves as the latest taste of music expected to board her forthcoming debut solo album was first unveiled via a stunning acoustic live performance at this year’s New Yorker Festival.
Later, Chloe took to Instagram to tease the tune’s arrival, revealing its premiere would be accompanied with a sizzling music video on October 28.
Keeping her promise, look inside to see the sexy clip.
The song is 🔥. But the video is cheap AF. The fact that this uses footage from their One Music Fest performances is cringe AF. Yikes.
The song is a BOP. HOWEVER, the video is a FLOP.
I don’t Ww what’s cringe about it. I saw “A Day In the Life” type theme. Made me think of the authenticity of videos back in the day. May have been cringe TO YOU but to me as a person who understands art as an actual artist I see where she is going here.
Tell it! I enjoyed the video.
The song is cute. The last two minutes of the video…horrible. We will see how far this goes radio/streaming. Chloe needs a new team.
Flop
Low budget & GHETTO
She got a bright future. Nice tits. Great voice. Bop song!!
I have better tits
We do love chloe
Nice song. Latto’s part is too short.
First song that sounds authetic and that i liked from her
i did not like the other songs
Agreed. Unlike most of the others, this song doesn’t feel contrived, gimmicky, etc. AND she wasn’t half-naked and twerking all through the video.
This one feels more substantive and the music works. I like it alot
This woman is lame af.. video is too blah. Song’s just ok, nothing special
Heard it ONCE and it’s already stuck on a loop in my head. Let me go back and repeat it a few times… The best song released today, over Rihanna, Ashanti and SZA.
you know what there’s a refreshing vibe about all of this, the song is Chloe’s poppiest so far and the video is chill and tells a clear story, very different from all her other ones. this screams ‘sleeper hit’ to me
Definitely her most radio friendly solo record but for me it doesn’t stand out like her previous singles IMO.
