Taylor Swift has long stood taller than most with her record sales. Today, though, she’s towering above the competition.

For, the Pop titan’s tenth studio album ‘Midnights’ has launched atop the Billboard 200 and seen the superstar break many a record in the process.

With the final numbers counted and verified, Billboard confirms that ‘Midnights’ official first-week US sales are:

1.578 Million Units

The colossal sum was accrued by way the album’s stellar performance across both streaming and traditional formats.

Of the total sum, 1.140 million are pure units, while 419,000 were amassed by way of the 549.26 million streams of the LP’s individual songs.

Swift savvily made a multitude of iterations of the album available across various formats – including CD and vinyl. These include the Moonstone Blue Edition, Jade Green Edition, Blood Moon Edition, and Mahogany Edition.

On the streaming front, the midnight drop for the 13-track original iteration of ‘Midnights’ was followed by the ‘3am Edition’ just hours later which came packaged with 7 additional songs (making for a 20-track version).

With the seismic launch, here are the records Swift has shattered:

• ‘Midnights’ over 1 million US pure album sales in one week, first album to achieve this since her own ‘Reputation’ (2017)
