Dr. Dre is making it known how he feels about the use of his music in politics.
Case in point, he has now served Republican House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene with a cease and desist order over the use of his song ‘Still D.R.E.’

In a statement shared with Entertainment Weekly, Dre says that he “has not, and will never” grant Greene permission to use his music to promote her “divisive and hateful political agenda.”
“One might expect that, as a member of Congress, you would have a passing familiarity with the laws of our country,” read the letter.
“It’s possible, though, that laws governing intellectual property are a little too arcane and insufficiently populist for you to really have spent much time on,” it continued.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been locked out of her Twitter account and her new video has been removed after Dr. Dre took legal action against her for using his music without permission.

In the video that caused the cease and desist, Greene apparently was taking a victory lap after helping Kevin McCarthy be granted the position of House Speaker on his 15th try.
Greene has since responded to the cease and desist. In a statement via TMZ, she said: “While I appreciate the creative chord progression, I would never play your words of violence against women and police officers, and your glorification of the thug life and drugs.”
Neither Dre nor his attorney have responded at this time to her comments.
I’m confused if she used it why would she say she would never play it 🤔
she’s out of her league snd her mind
