After a hard-fought battle, Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ pipped SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’ (which settles for #2) to secure another week at #1 on the coveted count.
In doing so, the superstar logs her eighth total week on top – thus making ‘Anti-Hero’ her longest #1 to date, besting the seven-week reign of ‘Blank Space’ across 2014-2015.
Swift’s ‘Midnights’ jam managed the feat with:
- 88.5 million radio airplay audience impressions
- 16.8 million streams
- 7,000 digital downloads
It faced stiff competition from SZA’s ‘Bill,’ which – along with its chart-topping parent album ‘S.O.S’ – has dominated the streaming scene.
With #1 in reaching distance, the TDE songbird hatched a four-track pack comprised of various versions of the track. Alas, snatching the #1 spot was not to be. At least, not this week.
