Halsey and Capitol Records have gone their separate ways.

It was confirmed today that the singer and the label juggernaut have split after eight years – a tenure that saw the performer nab global hits such as ‘Closer’ and ‘Without Me.’
Last May it became clear that all was not well when Halsey took to social media to allege that her music was being held back by bosses until it went viral on TikTok.
Halsey’s managers s Jason Aron and Anthony Li issued the following statement:
“After eight great years the decision to leave Capitol is bittersweet, but we are excited about exploring a new partnership and sharing new music with fans.”
Capitol added:
“Everyone at Capitol poured their hearts and souls into helping Halsey achieve their dreams and present their music to the world. We are incredibly proud of all we accomplished together, and wish Halsey the very best in all their future endeavors.”

Her music is very hit or miss…definitely more miss. She isn’t the greatest songwriter, but she thinks she is. And her voice is weak. Oh well. Maybe she’ll find her sound and be happy doing things on her own terms
Exactly. Think she overestimates herself quite a bit. Most of the times, her music doesn‘t make any noise and most people do not care. She had a couple feat. hits and two or three solo hits. Nonetheless, even with a couple hits she is not really a household name
