There, the Pop tour de force performed the project’s latest single ‘You & I’.

I don’t know why, but when GaGa leaves the piano and stands up (or even worse when she tries to dance), it’s like she loses all her shine and I just stop being interested.The only performances of hers that I’ve enjoyed in this era are the ones where she is sitting DOWN!

Eh…I didn’t like her performance of it on SYTYCD but I think I’d like the song. On second listen it’s a nice song but not one that I’d purchase or really seek out. Glad she eased up on the 80s grind for a moment but nah.

– Hey Monsters. I was at this taping of Jimmy Kimmel the night of 07.28.11. I scored a free ticket and I must say that it was the best free concert I have ever attended. I’ve been to many tapings of the Jimmy Kimmel show and a lot of artist come out and don’t give their all because the show is free, but GaGa put her all into these performances as if she was on tour.
I’ll share with you guys what was not televised. The whole back side of Hollywood Blvd was shut down. There was a mob of people and I’ve never seen a crowd this big for Jimmy Kimmel. I arrived around 6PM and waited outside for Gaga until close to 9PM. In her defense while we waited she was filming her interview inside (which they had T.V.’s outside for us to watch it).
On a side note Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker attended the concert with his children (He wasn’t on the show but brought his kids to see Gaga). After Jimmy introduced GaGa she came out to perform You And I on her piano. It was an electric performance as you can see from the video.
Next she performed Edge of Glory. GaGa was obviously unaware of the edit of the track because the first verse was cut in half and went straight to the chorus while she continued to sing the verse. She caught herself up with the lyrics and continued the song anyways. However since the show is taped in Los Angeles in the late evening so that it can air on the east coast by midnight she was allowed to do the performance all over again. So we all got to see Edge of Glory twice.
Typically an artist that does a show at Jimmy Kimmel will only do the two televised performances and leave. Not Gaga, she stayed and gave us the concert experience of our life. Un-televised she performed for us Hair on her piano. Then she performed Judas at the audience request, and she didn’t enunciate the lyrics too well but in her defense the choreography is very intense.
After that performance she brought back out Jimmy Kimmel and made everyone on stage, including Kimmel and her dancers take a shot of Jameson’s whiskey to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of her 1st late night show television appearance which was on Kimmel.
Lastly she performed Born This Way and this song received the biggest response from the audience. After that performance she talked to the audience a bit and with her dancers gave the final bow with the dancers while the band played the instrumental to “Government Hooker”. It was the first time I and I assume anyone else heard the live treatment of the song and I must say it sound awesome.
I’ve been to the Monster Ball twice and with this free performance it was the same amount of energy and antics that take place during the real tour. If this is a preview of what’s to come during the Born This Way Ball then I will be first in line to purchase my tickets!

Agree watched the interview – it looks as if she’s been borrowing from Christina’s closet. I like this look on Gaga because she actually looks normal for a change but her image looks quite like something Christina has already done.
