After watching his tenth studio album, the 33-track ‘Breezy,’ open inside the Billboard 200’s top 5 last summer, Chris Brown is undoubtedly hoping for similar treatment for its follow-up ’11:11.’
Despite initially promising it wouldn’t boast the jam-packed tracklist of its predecessors, Brown later clarified the November 10-released project – which is being led to chart battle by singles ‘Summer Too Hot‘ and ‘Sensational‘ – will have 22 tracks courtesy of “A&B” sides.
Lined with an eclectic list of features including Davido, Future, Fridayy, and more, stream ’11:11′ inside courtesy of Apple Music and Spotify.
FLOP
At first listen, there are 3 or 4 songs I can pass on from the AM side, and 2 or 3 from the PM side. The 11 AM songs sound like Chris in his first 7 years, so there’s more pop/r&b. Favorite AM songs for me are “Press Me” and “Sensational”. PM side has the usual more explicit music. My top favorite PM songs are “Stutter” and “Summer Too Hot”. It’s a shame so many of the better songs are barely 2 minutes. My guess is Chris and the other artists who keep a lot of their songs short are saving money. “Press Me” is the shortest and best song on the album imo.
And when I like the music I buy it, so I did pay that 9.99 for this.
