After taking a big bite out of Spotify streaming records, ‘Lunch‘ – the latest single from Billie Eilish – is poised to do the same on next week’s Billboard Hot 100!
The lead single from her hotly selling new album ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft,’ ‘Lunch’ has already proven itself a hit having spent multiple days atop Spotify’s global real-time streaming chart since its May 17 release.
“I could eat that girl for lunch / Yeah, she dances on my tongue / Tastes like she might be the one / And I could never get enough / I could buy her so much stuff,” she sings on the Finneas-produced tune.
Based on its opening week’s commercial performance across all digital platforms industry analysts predict the sexually suggestive song will launch at #5 on the refreshed Hot 100 (which prints on May 28).
Should the forecast ring true it will mark the sixth top 10 hit of her career following ‘Bad Guy‘ (#1 peak), ‘Everything I Wanted‘ (#8 peak), ‘My Future‘ (#6 peak), ‘Therefore I Am‘ (#2 peak), and ‘Your Power’ (#10 peak).
As her dedicated fans await confirmation from Billboard, Billie has given them another reason to fall in love with ‘Lunch’ by lifting an official behind the scenes look at the creation of its accompanying music video.
