First Look: Michael Jackson Biopic Sees Jaafar Jackson Perform ‘Thriller’

The hotly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic is going all-out with its recreation of defining moments in the megastar’s legendary life.

Entertainment Tonight has unveiled the first look at lead Jaafar Jackson – MJ’s nephew – donning the iconic red ensemble to perform the title track of the game-changing 1982 album.

Set for release on April 18, 2025, ‘Michael’ is directed by Antoine Fuqua and will see Colman Domingo and Nia Long play MJ’s parents, Joseph Jackson and Katherine Jackson.

Additional casting includes Larenz Tate and Kat Graham as Berry Gordy and Diana Ross respectively.

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ producer Graham King has been tapped to produce, while Oscar nominee John Logan helms the script.

    hunnie, Jaafar is way too handsome to playing MJ. I hope the biopic didn’t cut out the parts where MJ bleached his skin and holding baby in the balcony.

      at least Beyonce’s artificial nose is way prettier than his and we haven’t seen it fell off like MJ did

    I want it to be good. I just can’t picture his life and career fitting into one movie without a bunch of time jumps and montages.

    He’s the image of his father Jermaine.

    Is anybody really hyped to see this? I can’t imagine it’ll teach us something we don’t already know, neither will it portray him inviting other people’s children into his bed which he openly admitted to doing. It’ll just show the highlights of his life rather than an honest, critical analysis and depiction.
