For, according to MTV Pop Line, Fenty is set to premiere her new single this Friday – on stage during her headlining set at Rock In Rio. It is believed the song is produced by Calvin Harris.

Still, perhaps the relative success of ‘LOUD’ has her and her team feeling brave this go round. Indeed, even yours truly is eager to see how they build on it. Will this be the project that finally establishes RiRi as more than a successful punchline? Or will she continue to rely on her usual array of gimmicky tricks to stay relevant? Time will tell…

Anyway, as I pointed out in another post, this release is very sloppy and rushed.’Cheers’ was released few weeks ago and the ‘Loud’ era hasn’t finished since the final single is still climbing.It’s like 2 eras colliding, which could be a good thing, granted that ‘Loud’ was a success but it could be a bad thing too, as she could get heavily overexposed and the comparisons between the ‘Loud’ era will be inevitable, so if she has evolved too much or if she hasn’t evolved at all, then it’s a problem.

I think that Rihanna has come to a point whereas she does not need to coordinate her musical released around Beyonce. She has established herself as a brand just as Beyonce has (and anyone who knows me knows that I am a Beyonce fan 1st and foremost).
Secondly, I assume that you also want to establish yourself as a brand, but if you carry on with the psychotic (ala Sandra Rose – Beyonce) rants you will only taint your brand. You may not like Rihanna or her music but being in the field that you are in your consistent SHADE is only pissing off the millions of people that have bought her albums and continue to buy her singles. Invest in some objectivity.

Question why does she need to take a break from music? Last time I checked she is doing her job, she is an entertainer…that is her 9-5…Do you take breaks off from your job. She has shown growth year after year….and as you can see…she is still selling and breaking records worldwide. Rihanna is a force to be reckon with and eventually everyone will take notice. Also why the hate on Beyonce. Beyonce is the s*** and some of you need to just recognize her talents. No one besides the late MJ and Janet perfroms the way she does. Beyonce will always be one of the best entertainers of this decade. and you can go on youtube and go to all her live performances. At every award show she has performed at her performances has always been considered the best. She sings live. She can dance. And the girl is beautiful. Beyonce is the complete package.
And do not let me get on that no talented mess Britney. She is pop so her fanbase is a little broader than Beyonce. Britney is a has been. She is a flop. She can not dance. She is ugly. She can sing. She can not act. I do not know why so many people give that trash so much credit. She is horrible. I look at her and always wonder HOW? Beyonce may not have a diamond album but one thing I do know is she has talent. Whereas, Britney I am not quite sure what she has. That mess of a superstar.

Firstly- how is Beyonce on a break when she just released an album like three months ago? Didn’t she just release a video the same time with “Cheers?” Isn’t another on its way? How is that a break? And you are reaching to think that Rihanna’s team sits and orchestrates to not have her release an album out at the same time as Beyonce.
I love Beyonce, she has all the talent in the world, but i’m tired of telling people you don’t need a whole lot of talent to sell records or even make enjoyable music, not to say Rihanna is untalented. This is POP music- it’s not that deep, sweetie.
And I don’t get how people talk about Rih is only successful because she’s selling s** and she’s pretty. Isn’t Keri Hilson, Ciara, Nicole Schewhatever her name is, Kelly Rowland, JLo, Cassie and dem selling s**? Aren’t they beautiful women? How come they not selling so well?
