Reps for the performer confirm that he has donated $1 Million to the LAFD Foundation, GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund, and LA Regional Food Bank.
Born Abel Tesfaye, the star has done so to help aid the relief efforts and support firefighters bravely battling the flames as well as residents displaced by the disaster.
The donations are in partnership with World Food Program USA and The Weeknd’s XO Humanitarian Fund.
As reported, the performer canceled his planned ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ launch show at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl to concentrate his efforts on the relief effort.
