Ciara‘s first single release of 2025 comes via the sensual new jam ‘Ecstasy.’
The heavily teased track, which follows the release of 2024’s Busta Rhymes-assisted ‘Wassup,’ is believed to be one of many gems set to line the R&B diva’s forthcoming new album – her first studio effort since 2019’s ‘Beauty Marks.’
“My body comes alive / When you get real close / You gon’ be surprised / If I get exposed / ‘Cause you’re like a hit of ecstasy / I can feel you all inside,” she croons over Leather Jackett production.
Branding the tune a “big sister” to her 2007 hit ‘Promise,’ look inside for your first taste of ‘Ecstasy’ courtesy its accompanying music video.
Love to see all these 2000s R&B princesses coming back. Keri Hilton, Amerie, now Ciara. We need new music from Ashanti, Cassie, Christina Milan, Kelis, Mya, Letoya….
Mya is still on a roll! Her newest song is called “Anytime,” and it’s just as consistent! I’m glad all of em are still artists minus Cici & Ashanti. Loved em both, but they haven’t matured musically. This album cover alone should be s*** time with her husband alone, but his weak self is okay with her carrying on like she ain’t a wife and mom (some things gotta remain private). Both Ashanti & Ciara are becoming a lil too raunchy for me. Sure, Ashanti used to curse when she was with Murder Inc, but she stopped….then countered all her maturity with that Irv Gotta ‘diss’ (using explicit words she didn’t used to). At some point, we should see growth, but Ciara still embraces her inner thot. Ik s** sells, but Mya is a great example of being s*** without too revealing! Can’t wait for Ameriee & Keri’s new album, though. Excited to see if time has done them justice, too 🥰
I actually agree mainly. Mya has matured nicely and is a good balance
However Amerie is a book mom now and is a snooze. No edge and no interest. Ashanti I did like her last release about 2am but she’s not consistent. Keri has the best new release right now of them all and Ciara just can’t sing and missed the window. she should still be dancing to pop music tbh. This song was boring due to lack of intrigue and lack of singing ability. Her tone can’t carry alot of songs.
Idc, her exes be on her mind when she makes these type of songs and videos because all of that stay between her and Russell. There are other ways to entertain your audience. I do not think this reflects respect for your man or marriage.
OMG! I JUST MADE A SIMILAR COMMENT! I sooooo agree! That’s why I don’t have any respect for Cici anymore! I’ve been married close to 10 years and intimate moments shouldn’t be shared in music videos nor SM! Imma still give it a listen, but her and her weak husband annoy me, now. She still carries on still embracing her inner thot, her music doesn’t indicate maturing musically, and she’s obviously still thirsty for as much attention as she can get….but that should be something she should crave from only her husband 🙄 I’m convinced Russel was NEVER her type (still ain’t), but he’s safe, has $$$, and he helped to clean her image. Covers like this should be below her, now. That’s why I love Mya; she’s aged beautifully, ain’t sellin her body for $$, and has blossomed both musically and vocally. Think I’ve outgrown Ciara 😵💫
Couldn’t agree more. However, I think Russell is an easy-going guy and is not weak. I believe he truly loves her and their kids and goes with the flow to keep things collected. That takes strength. Ciara, while I think she may be a good person, I think she made herself love Russell, and it’s as simple as that.
When Ciara opens her legs, Russell falls deeper in love. That good witchcraft.
