Taylor Swift is full of surprises.
And for the singer and her fans, the latest may be her most shocking (and rewarding) yet.
For, after a very public spat over the purchase of her master recordings, the singer has revealed that she has acquired the recordings back.

In an open letter shared moments ago, a triumphant Swift confirmed that she is now the owner of her entire catalog.
As widely reported, the rights to her first six albums were sold to Scooter Braun by her former label, Big Machine Records.
Swift blasted the move and claimed that she was not given a heads-up or the ability to participate in the sale.
Making lucrative lemonade out of the lemons she was dealt, the Pop force embarked on the re-recording of the projects, which were re-packaged and re-released as part of the ‘Taylor’s Version’ series.
Now, after the seeming pass the parcel saw the rights for the original masters for grabs again, Swift swooped in and secured what she has long argued was rightfully hers.

Congrats!

Good for her. But did she really needed her earlier stuff after making the Taylor’s versions? Paying 300 mil for it sounds like too much.
Regardless she definitely knows how to win
I think it’s the principle. Happy for her. Can’t think of a pop star that’s more successful than her
and thats well deserved. she worked hard for this mess. shes already a billionaire. shes about to be a zillionaire
