Wendy Williams’ legal fight is heating up, and this time, powerhouse attorney Joe Tacopina is stepping into the ring.

In a sit-down with Extra’s Carlos Greer, Tacopina, best known for defending A$AP Rocky, blasted new reports claiming the daytime TV icon failed a cognitive test and is being held in a memory unit. Tacopina described the situation as:
“It’s just so unjust and so, quite frankly, despicable.”
Despite headlines suggesting she’s battling frontal temporal dementia and aphasia, Tacopina insists no official diagnosis has been shared with Williams, her team or even her guardianship lawyers, he confirmed:
“No one has seen this report yet.”
The next step? A ruling from a neutral physician and judge. Until then, Tacopina vows to fight, he said:
“Hopefully, the guardianship attorney pushes this judge to make a ruling and it’s the right ruling. Then game, set, and match… If it’s the wrong ruling, I’ll get involved in a big way because we are going to need a jury to solve this.”
He added that Williams is using her own situation to help others, revealing that:
“Wendy has a platform… Celebrities have gone to see her… We are approaching three years, she cannot live her life… She is happy it is her, because hopefully it will put an end to this kind of abuse.”
