The starlet is hard at work promoting her freshly unwrapped album, ‘Man’s Best Friend,’ and a sit-down with CBS Mornings was her latest stop.
Speaking with host Gayle King, Carpenter waxed candid about breaking through, the concept of the project, romance, and her space in the spotlight.

“You don’t have to like what I do. I think there’s this weird misconception that every artist has to check every box for everyone to like everything about them. It’s never been that way. It’s never going to be. I’m ok if Tommy from Arkansas doesn’t like what I do.
