Leon Thomas Drops ‘My Muse’ Video & ‘PHOLKS’ EP As ‘Mutt’ Becomes His First Hot 100 Top 10 Hit As a Performer

It’s a good week to be Leon Thomas.

Days ahead of the October 30 kickoff of his headlining ‘Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour,’ the singer-actor is raking in critical acclaim for his latest body of work – the October 24-released ‘PHOLKS‘ EP.

Housing the warmly received singles Just How You Are‘ and ‘My Muse’ (which was gifted the video treatment the same day its parent project was released), the extended play comes as a 7-song effort boasting rising rapper 4Batz as its only feature.

The arrival of ‘PHOLKS’ to streaming services came just days before Billboard announced his August 2024-released breakthrough single ‘Mutt‘ had finally pounced into the Hot 100’s top 10 this week.

Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

  • Sales ≈ 500 downloads
  • Streaming = 7 million U.S.-based streams
  • Radio airplay = 59.7 million audience impressions

Although the placement comes as a career-first for Thomas as a recording artist, it’s actually the fourth time he’s cracked the chart region overall.

As a producer and writer, he counts Drake‘s ‘In the Bible,’ JAY-Z‘s ‘Love All,’ and SZA‘s ‘Snooze’ among his tally of tunes to tip into the top 10.
