Fans seem to think so, following a lengthy statement made by member Rhona Bennett.
Full story below…
The singer joined the legendary ensemble in 2003 and has been an omnipresent part of the group ever since, a sans a brief exit when the original members reunited in 2009.
Now, though, it looks like Bennett may have departed for pastures new.
And it appears the group’s recent appearance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025 was a catalyst.
When members Terri Ellis, Cindy-Herron, and Maxine Jones (who recently rejoined the group) performed ‘Whatta Man’ alongside honorees Salt-N-Pepa, many wondered where Bennett was.
And she says she was in that number, claiming to have only found out about the performance when “discovering it with everyone else.”
Yikes.
Elsewhere, in her post, which was shared to Instagram, she toasts a “new season” and concludes by thanking the group for her time in the ensemble.

“A New Season”
There comes a time in every artist’s journey when the path changes — sometimes without full clarity, but always with purpose.
Over the years, I’ve done deep work to develop my voice — not just musically, but personally and spiritually. I’ve learned that honoring my values, creative expression, and truth must come before anything else.
I’m normally pretty private, but many of you reached out to ask why I wasn’t at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performance. I was approved, during the summer, to facilitate my own event happening concurrently on November 8th, however I was not informed about the Hall of Fame performance and discovered it at the same time as the public. It could’ve been nice to attend had I been given the opportunity to adjust my schedule.
I’m stepping into a new season of creativity, freedom, and contribution. Growth can sometimes create discomfort — not only within ourselves, but in others, too. Don’t shrink. Keep going.
I’m deeply grateful for the years of connection with En Vogue and for the incredible work we’ve shared across the globe. Thank you, EV.
Though uncertainty is present, so is excitement. I trust that this next chapter is not a loss, but an evolution. God bless as I move toward the next frontier.
We’re in the giving season, and my next single, “It’s Christmas Time (For You and I),” will arrive soon — along with more music, coaching, and speaking projects that continue my mission to inspire and empower.
THANK YOU to everyone who has sent words of encouragement, support, concern, and love. It’s time to take the next bold step forward. I’m grateful that you’re along for the ride.
With love,
Rhona”
There’s been no word from En Vogue as of yet.

Good luck to her… Now would one of the EV girls please call Dawn so we can get our original 4 member group back?!?! I know I’m dreaming but there’s no other group like the original 4, they were vocally unbeatable.
Wpild be noce but I don’t know!!!
Would be nice but I don’t know!!!
I agree. Hopefully the stars are now aligning up. A tour with the original four would be major!
Exactly!!!
Nobody cares or even knows who she is.
She brought nothing to the group.
She never look right, her voice never worked well with them. She just did not fit.
Glad she’s gone. Now bring back Dawn.
Rhona was never a good fit for the group anyway. I don’t know why this is even news? Rhona was just a placeholder, not an original and brought them no hits.
Girl bye.
The only En Vogue I recognise is Terry, Dawn, Maxine and Cindy.
I don’t know this lady. Never heard of her.
Thats a lie!… Disney+ has been heavily promoting the performance of EV with pics of Max, Cindy and Terri for weeks, so how did she not know. Hopefully the door is now open for Dawn’s return.
Crazy to think Rona has been there longer than Dawn but has nothing to show for it.
Rona thought she was more important than she is and did not learn the lessons of members past. Don’t cross the real En Vogue Cindy and Terri.
Seems like a nice lady but unlike Michelle. She has no hits with her group.
A glorified back up singer. Thank u for your services
