En Vogue has confirmed the departure of longtime member Rhonda Bennett, ending days of speculation.

The R&B legends were thrust into headlines when Bennett, who joined the group 22 years ago, appeared ro announced her exit from the ensemble.
And her verbiage raised eyebrows and concern among the fandom after she alleged that she had only learned of the group’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performance along with the general public.
Now, original members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones have issued a statement addressing the drama and confirming Bennett’s offboarding.
En Vogue said:
“Out of due respect for our sisters @saltnpepaofficial and their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, we chose to refrain from addressing Rhona Bennett’s departure from En Vogue until now. We are proud of En Vogue’s legacy, and for over 35 years have been committed to maintaining an open-door culture for members to pursue their individual aspirations while staying ‘true’ to our brand. As a group, we have the utmost respect for Rhona’s talents and have consistently supported her personal endeavors throughout the past 22 years. Looking ahead to 2026, with founding member Maxine Jones, who returned earlier this year we are extremely blessed to celebrate two major milestones: the 30th anniversary of the EV3 debut and the 25th anniversary of the Masterpiece Theatre album. Trash statement. She was in the group for two decades. I am moving on from them. A mess. I actually liked the group with Rhonda. She made them feeling younger.

Rhona didn’t record any of the songs they’re known for. So, I’d personally rather hear vocals by the original members, regardless of their age.
This statement makes me feel a way. This is definitely not a good look. Hopefully, they can release some new music that takes our focus away from this moment…
