The Afro-R&B rising star delivered a soulful, stripped-back performance at NPR’s Washington, D.C. offices, backed by a full live band that allowed his emotive vocals and global influences to shine.
The set opened on a tender note as Odeal had a special shoutout to his mother, who watched the entire performance via FaceTime. Across eight songs, including fan favorites like ‘Soh Soh,’ ‘Miami’ featuring Leon Thomas, and ‘London Summers, ‘ the 26-year-old guided viewers through stories of love, growth, and creative evolution.
Arriving amid a breakthrough year, the Tiny Desk follows his latest EP, ‘The Fall That Saved Us,’ and a sold-out tour run.
