Jamie Foxx isn’t here for the excuses when it comes to the racist remarks made at the BAFTA Awards, and he’s using his platform to speak out.
Full story below…
The BAFTAs were supposed to be a night celebrating the best in film. But as previously reported, the moment took a turn when Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson shouted an offensive racial slur toward Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo during the ceremony.
Although the BBC has since issued an apology, Jamie isn’t accepting the reasoning behind it.
He spilled:
“Nah, he meant that sh*t.”
“Out of all the words you could’ve said, Tourette’s makes you say that? Unacceptable.”
John Davidson has sicne release a statement on his racist shoutouts:
“I have spent my life trying to support and empower the Tourette’s community and to teach empathy, kindness, and understanding from others, and I will continue to do so. I chose to leave the auditorium early into the ceremony as I was aware of the distress my tics were causing.”
The backlash continues to grow, with several other celebrities speaking out and calling out the moment and its airing.

Jamie
So it’s only okay when ur white women u date are calling you a NGGGGA during S E X.
H o n k e y lover
just loud and wrong. people with tourettes literally CANNOT control what they say.
this is on BAFTA for their poor handling of the situation.
Yeah but out of all the things you couldve said
…..
He likely meant it because “Dem Folks” do things intentionally all the time, and hide behind “Whoops” and “I didn’t mean to.” I blame the people who invited him in the first place. They are probably the ones at the root who said let’s invite so and so because we know he will use a slur, and disrespect these uppity, who do they think they are ninjas. Chile, please.
I understand he has Tourette’s however he should apologise to them. Even the statement above contained no apology to Michael nor Delroy.
