Celine Dion Drops New Song ‘Dansons’ / Adds MORE Dates to Paris Residency Due to Overwhelming Demand

Published: Thursday 16th Apr 2026 by Rashad

To say Celine Dion is back would be a severe understatement!

After years of coping with the effects of her highly publicized battle with the rare neurological disorder Stiff-person syndrome (SPS), Dion stunned fans last month with a birthday announcement she will launch a limited engagement/residency at Paris La Défense Arena across September and October – a move that marks her first major concert run since stepping away from the stage in 2022.

As if the news wasn’t enough to send her dedicated fans into a frenzy, Friday (April 17) brought with it the arrival of her first new song in years: ‘Dansons.’

Hear it inside.

A celebrated reunion with legendary producer-songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman (one of the masterminds behind her mega-selling ‘D’eux’ album), the new French-language tune ‘Dansons’ (which translates to “Let’s Dance” in English) marks Celine’s first original tune in years.

“Dansons, au-dessus des grands vides / Que nos souffles nous guident / Les corps à l’unisson / Jouez violons (Let us dance above the great voids / May our breaths guide us / Our bodies in unison / Play, violins),” she sings on the moving track.

At writing, it’s not been announced if ‘Dansons’ is attached to a larger project (i.e. a new album).

Although the new song tackles themes of resilience and uncertainty, what’s not uncertain is the demand for Celine’s long-awaited return to stage.

In fact, six additional dates have been added to her five-week engagement at Paris La Défense Arena due to overwhelming demand.

Now including shows on September 18, September 25, October 2, October 9, October 16, and October 17, the concert run – which boasts creative direction from the award-winning show designer Willo Perron – will contain a career-spanning setlist that will see the legendary diva perform some of her most beloved hits in French and English.

Visit Celine’s official website for more details on the new dates.

Sidebar: funny how Céline mocked on Ellen women who got Botox; now she needs it to prevent her face muscles from spasming. The youthful side-effect ain’t too shabby, either. This is the best she’s looked in years. Jowls gone. Brows higher. Facelift detected or nah?
