Unlike her 2025 hit return to music, Kelly Clarkson has barely given her dedicated fans time to ask “where have you been” before news dropped she’s already moving on to her next release.
After ample teasing, Friday (July 17) brought with it the arrival of the Pop diva’s newest single ‘I’d Be Lyin.’
Self-branded as a “fun, anthemic, sarcastic song,” the tune’s arrival coincides with Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency which kicks off its 2026 summer run on the same day.
“The vibe in the verse is kind of — it’s not like Prince, but it’s definitely Prince-inspired with the staccato kind of poppiness of it,” she said of ‘Lyin.’ “It has a lot of attitude, and then the chorus kind of opens up into this major pop-rock vibe that is very reminiscent of a Kelly Clarkson empowerment anthem.”
