The group shared an update on Thursday, saying T-Boz is improving each day. Her condition is not considered life-threatening. However, there is no timetable for her return to the stage, and she will not resume performing until doctors clear her.
Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas has been carrying TLC’s portion of the tour alongside Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. At an August 28 stop in Connecticut, Chilli asked fans to “hold her down” in her absence.
The group said recovery from a sickle cell crisis can take days or weeks. They stated:
“Her health and recovery remain our highest priority. Tionne looks forward to returning to the tour when she is fully recovered and medically cleared to perform.”

T-Boz has lived with sickle cell disease since childhood and has spoken publicly about the severe pain it can cause. She told PEOPLE in 2017 that episodes can leave her delirious.
The hospitalization comes during National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. The group encouraged fans to learn more about the disease and support families living with it.
Chilli will continue performing while T-Boz recovers. The tour remains active.
