Jhené Aiko has officially reached the top of the Billboard 200 for the first time.

For, the R&B songbird’s fourth studio album, ‘Westside Whimsy,’ has premiered at #1 on the coveted count, making good on earlier predictions and delivering a major career milestone.

Per the latest iteration of the tally, the 20-track project earned 74,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its opening week.

First-Week Sales (Pure): 3,500 units

First-Week Chart Placement: #1

Streaming powered the lion’s share of the total, with 70,000 SEA units generated from 71.33 million on-demand streams. A further 500 units came from track-equivalent activity.

The feat sees ‘Westside Whimsy’ become Aiko’s first Billboard 200 chart-topper, arriving almost 13 years after her debut on the tally with ‘Sail Out.’

It also marks the first R&B album by a woman to hit #1 in 2026.

Aiko’s previous career peak came courtesy of 2020’s ‘Chilombo,’ which debuted at #2 with 152,000 equivalent units and went on to earn a GRAMMY nomination for Album of the Year.

Released with just days of advance notice, ‘Westside Whimsy’ features the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Tyga, and OHMA, while the campaign has already birthed the ‘Nothing Nice to Say’ visual.
