The reveal arrives after a day of cryptic clues, altered social media branding, and a countdown on Swift’s official website that pointed to 2 PM ET today.

Swift shared the first taste of what is to come via her official social channels:
“I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single “Patient Zero” will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now at https://store.taylorswift.com for 24 hours.”
The moment notably marks Swift’s first newly unveiled music since ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’, the original song she penned for Disney and Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’.
Released in June, the Jack Antonoff collaboration went on to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Swift’s 15th chart-topper.
Her last full-length studio project, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, arrived in October 2025 and enjoyed a blockbuster commercial run, including multiple weeks atop the Billboard 200.
