The latest in a long line of dismissals, following Steve Jones‘ ‘departure‘ from the show yesterday, some reports speculate room is being made for Mariah Carey to join the judging panel, in support of her upcoming album due out this year.

put mariah carey and kelly rowland on there. i liked kelly on the uk version but i think she would be more comfortable on the US version and it would raise her profile a bit more in the US too. mariah is that DIVA is is credible enough to be a judge and this would probably reignite her career, and kelly is feisty so i think it would work.

Assuming that this is not just speculation, Simon’s first pic would obviously be Mariah. He has said before that she is the Queen and probably the greatest singer of our generation. Not that other acts are not good, but she writes her material, has a KILLER voice, and has had incredible success—success that would be impossible to replicate today even if Rihanna does eventually edge her out for most #1’s. I think Mariah is read to come back to the industry hard, and people need to see the side of Mariah that only the lambs know. X Factor would be perfect for her, because not only does Simon—and obviously L.A. Reid LOVE her—music is her industry. Janet is entertainment, Madonna is entertainment, Whitney is Music with some major entertainment influences. Mariah is mostly all music and that is what she is. That is why she should do this. It would jumpstart her career again like in 2004-05! I hear another Emancipation era… some singles with 14+ weeks at the top…

Mariah and Beyonce would be great judges! Both know what it is to be a start, and being both mothers this would allow them to both have set hours and also have a family.
Just based on how honest, encouraging and non-catty they were on American Idol, I’d love to see Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle or Elton John. While I love Mariah dearly, she was being a little shady on AI but I guess that would add comedy/drama on X-Factor and I’d be more likely to watch if any of these 4 were on.

Umm Kelly Rowland would be a horrible choice is my opinion. They need some divas, get Mariah Carey and Leona Lewis. They are both loved around the world, they are both superstars, and they are both mega talented! I think Ciara would be a good choice too, but not Rihanna, Gaga, Janet, Madonna, Cheryl Cole who sucks at singing I may add, Kelly Rowland won’t do it since she was fired/ quit from UK X Factor and Beyonce won’t do it because she just had a baby lol use your head people. In all honesty Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey would be excellent judges plus they have new albums coming so it’s great promotion for both of them 🙂

They should put Mariah and Janet… two DIVAS to the fullest, but extremely talented divas… Janet is a amazing performer so she can definitely be good at judging the performances and Mariah is the greatest female vocalist so of course she’ll be great at the vocal judging and Mariah and Janet both always throw shade in the classiest way and plus if I was an aspiring singer, I’d want Mariah instead Gwen, Keri, Kelly or Toni judging me and an aspiring dancer/performer, I’d obviously want Janet judging me, I mean the b**** set the pavement for the performance style of Aaliyah, Ciara, Beyonce, Kelly, Britney, Gaga, Pink and Mya
