ROC Nation’s Rita Ora has much cause to celebrate tonight.
For, the 21 year old has earned her first #1 single.

In at #1 is ‘Hot Right Now’, her collaboration with the acclaimed DJ Fresh, marking her first time atop the chart.
This, a positive indicator as to how her own singles will fare upon their release later on this year.
Her #1 spot places her a whopping 33 places above ‘We Found Love‘, by Roc rival Rihanna, and 5 positions above Jessie J’s ‘Domino‘ which is spending its 11th week on the chart.
Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Starships‘ storms in at #16, while her ‘Turn Me On‘ duet with David Guetta holds court at #10, one spot higher than last week.
Unfortunately for Madonna, ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ slides 14 places to #51 after just two weeks on the chart, perched 17 places above Rihanna‘s ‘You Da One’ and 20 spots above MIA‘s ‘Bad Girls‘.
If this week’s tally is anything to go by, ROC are onto a winner.
We just hope ‘The Navy‘ are aware of the threat Rita poses to Rihanna on both a commercial and popularity front.
For with a voice Fenty just can’t touch, it’s won’t be long before Ora becomes the ‘go to girl’ for any in need of premium Pop pageantry, giving Rihanna and her microwave hits a run for their money.

She sounds better than the little bit I heard from her on you tube previous. I can see her appeal to some and I do think Rihanna and Rita could possibly share an audience.
Roc Nation doesn’t have to split hairs ( or finances) between these two ladies. Rihanna is managed by Roc nation, signed to Def Jam, Rita is signed to RocNation as her label so they don’t necessarily share the same pool of money for production and promo.
