Comeback queen Whitney Houston will be the the receiptitent of the ‘Entertainment Honour’ at the 2010 BET Honours, it has been revealed. The show, which takes place on February 1st (ironically a day after the Grammys who snubbed her), will see Houston tribute performances from the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Patti Labelle and Mary J. Blige. {Source}
It’s awesome to see Whitney getting her props where they’re due. Should her team keep up the great work with the handling of her ‘I Look To You’ project, I’d imagine the ceremony will coincide with the release of a new single or singles (fingers strongly crossed for a ‘For The Lovers’ release).
Good to Hear.. I believe she will get her Grammy recognition next year. I think that “For The Lovers” , “Worth It” and “I Got You” are strong contenders for a single. They should go with a double release again.
I’m so proud of this woman, sky is the limit!!! GO Whitney!!!
Go Whitney!!!! This is really good news, I’m happy for her. I hope Wworth it is the next single
*worth it
YASS!!, and they actually got some SANGING divas to perform.. I so can not wait…
ok i like for the lovers but worth it gets my vote….go whitney…i have no words for the grammys…all i know is i wont be watching that ass kissing show..its just another show to award the industry puppets who get the work the done..wont a get a minute of my time!!
I am so happy for her- eff the Grammys, she will get her propers. I really think things will continue to look up for her in 2010. She and Clive are steady cementing her legacy- can”t wait to watch and I hope BET brings it.
Worth it or Like I Never Left for the USa nd For the Lovers for the UK/.International is my dream. hopefully her album continues to sell well.
I love the album but Whitney baby; you look like you still on that pipe!
Im happy for Whit and she deserves it, she was the voice of her generation and probably the most influential singer next to Aretha, but please release “call you tonight” its the hottest song on the cd followed by “worth it”
SNUB THE GRAMMYS!!!! F*CK THE GRAMMIES!!!!
FTL THE NEXT SINGLE… ARISTA IS STUPID IF IT AINT.
It would be good if Kelly could perform at this. Big ups Ms. Houston!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!! F**K the Grammys! KMT they’ll lickin Whitney’s ass next year! KKKKMT “Call You Tonight! 4 next single!!! LOVES IT! cant waaaaaait 4 her London concert dates!!! YAY! xxxx
Yes!!! Lets hope this gives the drive to keep pushing the album – Id love to se a re-release also with some HOT new tracks!!!
MDB deserves a big follow up in the UK – it was such a HUGE hit!
Congrats to Whitney! I wonder who is going to perform her songs. Seriously if Mary sings a Whitney song, its going to sound a hot ass mess. Leave it to Jhud. Hopefully Brandy will be there.
For the lovers needs to be the next single.
“For The Lover’s” is an ok song…too risky to be released in the States as a single (wouldn’t chart). “Salute” would see more success here in the US.
Good to hear – She deserves it! I heard that CALL YOU TONIGHT is the next single to be released and that Arista is shooting a video this week – we’ll soon find out!
THEY BETTA KEEP MELINA MATSOUKAS AS DIRECTOR. SHE IS THE HOTTEST THING RIGHT NOW AS FAR AS MUSIC VIDS. SHE DID THE LAST 2 – ILTY AND MDB VIDS.
QUEEN IS BACK !
I’M SO PROUD OF YOU, MY QUEEN!
GOD LOVES YOU WHITNEY, GO ON !
for the lovers !!
Greetings From Chile !
I knew that BET wouldnt let us down! When our enterainers are “snubbed” BET will alwayshave their back. maybe this Honors Show is the right way to turn BET back to the top. Not a copy cat of MTV and VH1 Shows.
With All that said…
Im excited about the line up to perform Whitney songs as a tribute! I hope they save Whitney for at least middle to last!
Lets hope that with this Honors Show , Arista get back on track and has Whitney to promote and a HOT single to hit the airwaves and really push it.
My hopes are for … For the Lovers, Like I Never Left and then Worth It or Call You Tonight!
Yeah, good for her, though you could say that we saw something like this coming. But I do believe she was snubbed out of a Grammy nomination spot. It’s was not “Album of the Year” quality, but it could have at least gotten “Best R&B Song for Million Dollar Bill, or “Best Contemporary R&B Album.” She could have taken Trey Songz spot.
