While evading the drop of official news about their elusive third studio album, the follow-up to 2020’s ‘City on Lock,’ Rap duo City Girls continue to tease their dedicated fans, affectionately called #Citizens, with tunes believed to line the yet-titled set’s tracklist.

After lifting the lid on cuts ‘I Need a Thug’ and ‘Pinata,’ JT and Yung Miami break out the equally racy ‘Face Down.’

“If you lookin’ for a wee b-tch, you know it ain’t me (Period) / P-ssy ain’t free, you better spend that sh-t (Spend that sh-t) / Since my momma gave birth, man, I been that b-tch (Been that b-tch) / Got it fresh off the runway, I’m in that sh-t,” they spit on the sexually charged cut.

The June release of new songs ‘I Need a Thug’ and ‘Pinata’ undoubtedly had City Girls‘ fans (affectionately called #Citizens) thinking they were that much closer to the duo’s elusive third studio album – the follow-up to 2020’s ‘City on Lock.’

An unexpected pivot came Monday (July 10), however, when JT announced she would be lifting the lid on a solo venture: ‘No Bars.’

And while the rapstress (born Jatavia Johnson) has had her fair share of features without her groupmate Yung Miami (see: the “Queen Mix” to Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Freaky Girl,Summer Walker’s ‘Ex For A Reason,’ etc.), ‘Bars’ comes as her first totally solo outing since she ended her stint behind bars in 2019.

“Cold a** cocky b*tch, fur in the summertime (Brr) / He gon’ keep the bills paid ’cause he know a b*tch fine / B*tches always in my business, JT, what you really do? (What?) / I be at home playin’ fetch by a swimmin’ pool (Bing) / I’m a real big dog, b*tch, you a scrappy-doo,” she raps on the BrizzyOnDaBeat-produced track.

JT and Yung Miami – better known as the City Girls – turned heads Friday (June 9) when they dropped the LL Cool J-sampling bop ‘I Need a Thug,‘ but to the surprise of their devoted fans (affectionately called #Citizens) even more new music was en route.

After wowing festivalgoers at Rolling Loud California with the live introduction of the tune ‘Pinata’ back in March, the Southern duo lift the lid on the official version of the Southside-produced cut.

“P-ssy make him do the cha-cha / He wanna hit it like a piñata (I’m wet like agua) / A piñata (I’m wet like agua), a piñata (I’m wet like agua) / P-ssy make him do the cha-cha,” they rap on the racy track.

Believed to be among the gems set to line their yet-titled third studio album, hear ‘Pinata’ in full inside.

‘P*ssy Talk,’ the Doja Cat-assisted single from City Girls, may have clawed its way onto the list of fan favorites from the Southern duo but that fanfare has not been reflected commercially as the cut has yet to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

To change the tide of the anthemic track (originally featured on Girls’ sophomore album ‘City on Lock’), the ladies enlisted the star power of three chart-topping gentlemen – Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, and labelmate Quavo (one-third of Migos).

The surprise announcement of the remix came Thursday (November 12), just two weeks after the song got its first televised live performance (click here to watch).

Will be the revamp be just what the chart doctor ordered?  Listen inside and tell us:

It’s ladies night and feeling’s right!

A little over a month ago (as we reported here), Doja Cat went on record to say she’d love to do a remix to Chloe x Halle‘s breakout hit, ‘Do It.’ The tune, which serves as the first single from the sister act’s sophomore album, ‘Ungodly Hour’ (click here to stream), is the first and only song in their short but storied discography that’s impacted the Hot 100 (to date).

In an effort to push the Scott Storch-produced bop past its previous #83 peak on the tally, they not only granted Cat’s wish but added fellow femcees City Girls and newcomer Mulatto on the remix and made it an all-female affair.
