Shawn Mendes fans may have been bummed by the announcement he pushed back his anxiously awaited fifth studio album, the eponymous ‘Shawn,’ from its October 18 release date to November 15, but the 3x GRAMMY nominee is using the time to acquaint them with even more gems from its tracklist.

Following the critically acclaimed cuts Why, Why, Whyand ‘Isn’t That Enough,’ Mendes has lifted the lid on new cut ‘Heart of Gold.’

“When we were young / We didn’t care / We shot for the stars / I’ll see you up there / You had a heart of gold,” he sings over Mike Sabath production.

Accompanying the tune’s November 1 arrival with an official music video directed by Connor Brashier and Anthony Wilson, hop inside to hear ‘Heart’ (which Mendes recently dedicated to late One Direction star Liam Payne).

As only a month separates Shawn Mendes fans from the October 18 release of his fifth studio album – the eponymous ‘Shawn’ – expect to see much of the 26-year-old on the promo trail in the coming weeks in support of the project.

Despite having already scored a Hot 100 top 40 hit with the LP’s lead single, ‘Why Why Why‘ (#30 peak), the Canadian hitmaker’s already moved on from that August-released tune to focus attention on its follow-up ‘Nobody Knows.’

When you’re so in love / And your souls touch / But it’s still not enough / Where does it go? (Woah) / Where does it go? / Nobody knows (Nobody, nobody) / Where the love goes,” he croons over the Mike Sabath-produced chorus.

Days after collecting critical acclaim aplenty for giving ‘Nobody’ a live debut aboard the 2024 MTV VMAs on September 11, Mendes followed by unveiling the song’s official music video and yet another live performance of it.

After ample teasing, 3x GRAMMY nominee Shawn Mendes rings in his 26th birthday (August 8) with the delivery of two new songs – ‘Why Why Why’ and ‘Isn’t That Enough’ – from his October 18-due fifth studio album ‘Shawn.’

The folksy tunes, both produced by Mike Sabbath, come as introspective musical journeys that see Mendes reflect on his personal and professional growth since topping the Billboard 200 with 2020’s ‘Wonder.’

“Opened up my journal to a page / Everything that hurts me’s still the same / Feels like there’s nothing new for me to say / Why, why, why?,” he wails in the music video for ‘Why.’

Shawn Mendes sent his beloved fans into a frenzy last week with the unexpected announcement of not one, but two new singles arriving to digital shelves ahead of the October 18 release of his eponymous fifth studio album.

Titled ‘Why Why Why’ and ‘Isn’t That Enough,’ the double song drop is due August 8 (to coincide with his 26th birthday).

GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Jacob Collier recruited some heavy hitters for his latest single, ‘Witness Me.’

In addition to nabbing help from fellow English chart-topper Stormzy, ‘Witness’ features contributions from Canadian hitmaker Shawn Mendes and Gospel icon Kirk Franklin.

“I’m here for you (I’m here for you) / In whatever you’re going through (Nothing that I wouldn’t do) / Whatever it is, you can tell me / I know you’d do the same,” Mendes croons on the uplifting tune.

Shawn Mendes has returned after a lengthy break to release his new song, ‘What The Hell Are We Dying For?’

The song covers an array of topics such as the current state of the environment as well as a broken heard.

Across the song, he sings:

“Smoke in the air / The city’s burning down / I wanna speak out but I don’t make a sound/ Locked in my mind/ You’re all I think about/ I wanna save us / But I don’t know how”

During his announcement of the song, Mendes revealed that it was written last minute and then shared shortly after.

It’s finally here.

After ample teasing, Shawn Mendes has shared his latest song. Entitled ‘When You’re Gone,’ he also shared the video for the tune as well.

The clip, features concert footage and was shot in an artistic black and white color scheme.

‘When You’re Gone’ was first performed during his set at South by Southwest and is rumored – but not confirmed – to be about his breakup with former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello.

Moreover, the song serves as his first new music since he shared his song ‘It’ll Be Okay’ in December of last year.
