As of time reported, no arrests have been made in the case of the death of George Floyd – an unarmed Black man in Minneapolis who died after a local police officer handcuffed him then pinned his knee onto the man’s neck (restricting his ability to breath).

Although officers were quickly terminated from the precinct (as we reported here), protests erupted in the ‘Twin City’ as the County Attorney Mike Freeman has not officially announced intent to arrest or charge them.

That very fact led the city’s mayor, Jacob Frey, to hold a press conference and pressure Freeman to detain the four.

Harvard graduate and former Marvel editor Christian Cooper may prove himself to be a superhero for Amy Cooper – the very woman who called the police to falsely report he had threatened her in Central Park.

The May 25 occurrence was filmed via cell phone by Christian (as we reported here) and, after being shared by his sister to Twitter, received thousands of shares across social media – not only causing a viral sensation but also igniting conversations around racial privilege.

The backlash against Amy was swift, with Twitter branding her #CloseUpKaren and #CentralParkKaren while her employer – Franklin Templeton – terminated her job less than 24 hours after the clip surfaced online (despite her public apology).

Now, just days after the incident, Christian has taken to multiple news outlets to call for a ‘cease fire’ against the ailing Amy.

In a video shared to social media Tuesday (May 26), a Minneapolis police officer is seen pinning his knee against the neck of a handcuffed black man on the ground who is struggling to breathe.

“I cannot breathe! I cannot breathe!” the cuffed man yells. “Don’t kill me!”

The unnamed man, who is believed to be in his 40s, did not die on the scene but reportedly died of a “medical incident” while in custody of medical workers.

Now, the FBI and state authorities are already investigating his death as advocates – including city officials like the city’s mayor Jacob Frey – call for a quick resolution.
